Due to Hockey Manitoba regulations, camps will be capped at 15 player per session. Development camps fill up quickly so please register soon if wanting to take part in the camps. Please note: There will not be a Development Camp for Bantam or Midget. A checking camp is being researched for Bantam players. Emails will be sent with further information.

Anyone that is trying out for a higher level team such as AA or AAA, you still need to register in Mitchell but please choose “other” as the payment option and you can make payment arrangements after those tryouts are complete.

This year we are going to try a different fundraiser. We are doing a cash raffle. The plan is to sell tickets for a cash raffle. We will be printing 1000 tickets at $20 each. This will raise $10,000. There will be $10,000 in prizes. The grand prize is 25% of total sales (max $5,000); 2nd prize is 12.5% (max $2,500); 3rd prize is 7.5% (max $1,000); 4th & 5th prizes are 2.5% (max $500) and we will have up to 5 more $100 Prize winners. We are asking families to sell $160 worth of tickets (8 tickets) or they can opt out and pay the $100. If you choose to opt-out, please select this option during the registration process.

Hope we can have some fun with this new fundraiser. We have not picked the draw dates yet as of yet. We are waiting for the necessary license from the Manitoba Gaming Commission. Details will be sent out when available. If anyone has any further question, please email Darryl – fundraising@mitchellmustangs.ca

Your $50 AGM cheque should be dated for Feb 10, 2021 and should be handed in by

October 1, 2020.

Update from the MMHA President, Jason Plett

Hello MMHA families,
This is Jason Plett. I’ve been elected as the new President of MMHA. Just wanted to give all of you an update of where we are at.

Firstly, here is our new board and the positions of each member:
President- Jason Plett
Vice President- Matt Banman
Treasurer- Jill Giesbrecht
Registrar- Elmer Toews
Secretary- Dallas Oldcorn
Player Development- Tyler McMechan
Equipment Coordinator- Lawney Penner
Fundraising- Darryl Janzen
Grievance- Brian Banman
Ice Scheduler- Brenlee Olfert
Female Rep- Chris Kuhl

Every board member has their Mustangs email set up so feel free to message me or the other board members should you have any questions or concerns.

I’m sure all of you are anxious to register your children for this season. We, as a board, are trying to get it opened up as soon as possible. We are hoping at some point next week you will be able to register.

Eastman has now opened up all the Regional AAA U18 & U15 and AA U13 tryout registration. To register your child, just go to the Eastman website and click on the register tab and follow the instructions. You can sign up for tryouts before you register with MMHA, but you MUST be registered with MMHA before you attend a tryout. However, don’t pay anything to MMHA registration unless your child is cut from the Regional team he/she are trying for. Regional tryouts are supposed to start Sept 4 or the days following, depending on which age group your child is in with the exception of U18 female Regional team which starts Aug 30.

Keep checking our Mustangs Facebook page for updates and Mustangs news! We will send out emails as soon as we know registration will be opened!

Thank you so much for your patience!!
Hope to see you all at the rink soon!!

Jason Plett
